In your neighborhood, children cross the street without checking
for traffic. In the darkness ahead, a man changes a flat tire. Two deer stand
on the highway – just beyond your headlights reach. Each of these scenarios
is an accident waiting to happen- or to be avoided. NIGHTDRIVER lets you see up
to five times farther than your regular headlights at night. With NIGHTDRIVER
you can avoid objects that would otherwise not be seen until the last moment.
Originally developed for the military, NIGHTDRIVER technology
measures heat signatures and creates an electronic image of everything in view.
The system converts these temperature differences into an electronic signal, which
it displays like a black-and-white TV image. This image is projected onto the
windshield just below your line of sight. The image is available at a glance and
won’t interfere with regular driving practices. In fact, after a short time,
you’ll begin using it naturally just like your rearview mirror.
